Quality
The ongoing quest for high-quality training processes is what characterizes our way of working. The goal of quality is pursued during research and monitoring oriented towards the territory and businesses, using strict methods in designing the courses and implementing the training work. Quality is the criterion used to select coordinators and tutors who are expert in managing the training activity and can establish a positive rapport with participants. The same criterion applies to our professors, who are selected from among the best professional operators, corporate consultants and leading figures from the world of academia.
Our goal is to use the latter to create a solid synergy based on a common goal: implementing training work that meets the expectations of students as well as market needs.
Action Learning
What all our training courses have in common is a teaching method that, without neglecting knowledge, focuses mainly on practical know-how. This absolutely practical approach to learning is possible thanks to modern educational workshops (kitchen and bakery workshops, butchery workshop, pizza and bread-making workshop, café workshops, school shop) set up as work environments that are functional to experimentation.
By using these facilities, with a motto based on action learning, the University of Flavor is proposed as a “gastronomic gym” where students can work alongside qualified professionals from this sector to learn the techniques that best reflect professional practice, placing this knowledge in a context that makes room for the history of the product and the culture of nutrition.
Training outside the Classroom
By alternating training/work (internships), we facilitate the social and professional placement of young people at companies. This period “outside the classroom” allows them to try their hand in a job situation, working directly in the field to test the skills they have acquired during the training course. This allows strong points and any areas of weakness that need improvement to emerge.
The internship is the result of a systematic collaboration between us and companies, based on the clear sharing of the objectives-goals and of the characteristics of the training course, and on the attention paid to the students’ expectations and inclinations.
